form EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt has discussed the chance of returning to the soap again.
First appearing in 1985, Woodyatt’s Ian Beale was one of the longest-serving main characters on Albert Square. The actor bowed out last year, when Ian fled Walford after a poisoning attempt on Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) part and more trouble coming his way courtesy of Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
In a new interview, Woodyatt has addressed the possibility of Ian going back to the Square in a comeback that might tie up some loose ends, though he said it isn’t entirely his call.
“It’s not just my decision, it’s their decision as well.
“They’ve got to write something. I’ve got to be available. Because I keep doing other work. The door’s open, but there’s a lot of doors that are open.”
Woodyatt gave a similar response when asked the question earlier this month, saying: “That door is open, and lots of other doors are open.”
while on EastEndersSharon has realized she still has feelings for Phil after her near-death experience.
In an attempt to win him back, she tried to put a stop to his wedding to Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), but was left heartbroken when Phil decided to go ahead with the nuptials.
However, the couple didn’t tie the knot after a disastrous day and decided to set another date for their ceremonybuying Sharon and Kat’s ex-husband Alfie (Shane Richie) more time to fight for their exes.
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
